We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Animal Care Specialist to join our team at Petco. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences, promoting our products, and ensuring the health and well-being of our live animals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide optimal guest experience services, including answering questions and making product recommendations.
- Assist guests in selecting merchandise and provide information on animal care and nutrition.
- Demonstrate a high level of interest in the welfare, health, and proper handling of all animals.
- Perform cashiering duties and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure merchandise is properly stocked and priced, and maintain a clean and safe store environment.
- Adhere to established operational guidelines and store policies and procedures.
- Evaluate guest inquiries and refer to Guest Experience Leader and/or Leader on Duty as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous retail or animal care experience preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and pull 2000 pounds utilizing material handling equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
