Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Technician Mid Level to join our team at Waveforce Electrical. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems on ships, barges, and submarines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical and Electronic Systems Installation and Repair
    • Install, test, and repair electrical and electronic systems, including cabling, equipment, and connectors.
    • Perform bonding and grounding of electrical equipment.
    • Install modification kits, overhaul, and repair various electrical/electronic equipment.
  • Electrical Troubleshooting and Testing
    • Use multimeters and network testers to troubleshoot electrical issues.
    • Perform electrical fit-up tasks, including use of grinders, reciprocating saws, and drills.
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead small electronics teams in the execution of electronics work items or ship alterations.
Requirements
  • Experience and Education
    • Three (3) years of direct experience in shipboard electronics installation and repair services.
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Certifications and Qualifications
    • NSI 009-73 Qualified Connector Fabrication Certification (coaxial, triaxial, ethernet, and multi-pin connectors).
    • NSI 009-123 Fiber Optic Handling Certification (preferred).
  • Other Requirements
    • Ability to pass Waveforce Electrical pre-employment drug and background screening.
    • Ability to obtain government facility and/or shipyard access, to include a DBIDS credential.
    • Ability to work overtime, as required.
    • Ability to travel outside the Norfolk, Virginia area, if required.
