Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques
  • Collaborate with social agencies, managed care organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including assessments, evaluations, and treatment plans
  • Provide education and support to clients, families, and community members on substance abuse and mental health topics
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field or related discipline
  • Two years of experience in the human services field, with a focus on substance abuse and mental health
  • Current certification or licensure in Maryland (CSC-AD, LGSW, LMSW)
  • Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a valid Maryland license/certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Significant knowledge of the TAP, bio-psycho-social characteristics, and manifestations of chemical dependency and/or mental illness
  • Experience running groups and facilitating special events
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and maintain confidentiality
