Job Overview

V-Tech Solutions, Inc. is currently in search of dedicated individuals to take on the role of Culinary Service Associates, contributing to the Nutrition Services Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of supplies, maintain cleanliness of equipment, and support various food preparation, service, and storage tasks as assigned.
  • Participate in the initial stages of meal preparation and assist in cooking tasks as directed.
  • Safely operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, choppers, steamers, grills, and other food service machinery when instructed.
  • Manage the operation of commercial dishwashing equipment.
  • Ensure sanitation protocols are followed within kitchen and dining areas.
  • Serve meals to patients in residential settings.
  • Oversee the organization of serving stations on the tray line, ensuring all necessary supplies and food items are available, and assist in the breakdown and cleaning of these stations post-service.
  • Be prepared to work in varying temperature environments, including walk-in refrigerators and freezers.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Must possess a valid Food Handlers Certification (ServSafe).
  • Ability to assist in meal service and preparation, adhering to established recipes and menus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively in a professional food service environment.
  • Basic math skills are required.
  • Competence in writing and typing notes using fundamental computer skills.
  • Physical capability to lift weights between 25-40 pounds with assistance and to stand for extended periods.
  • Proof of Covid vaccination is required.
  • Successful completion of a background check and a 10-panel drug test is mandatory.
  • Must provide a negative TB test result.
