Key Responsibilities
  • Front Desk Operations: Directly supervise the activities of the front desk department, ensuring seamless check-in and check-out processes, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Training and Development: Responsible for training new front desk staff and ongoing training of all front desk staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills to provide excellent customer service.
  • Disciplinary Measures: Handle disciplinary measures when needed, ensuring that all staff members understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Shift Coverage: Responsible for covering any and all front desk shifts that are uncovered due to call-ins, no-shows, staff shortages, etc.
  • Scheduling: Prepare weekly front desk work schedules in accordance with staffing guidelines, ensuring adequate coverage and minimizing overtime.
  • Lead Front Desk: 80% of the work week will operate as lead front desk staff, handling guest complaints, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive guest experience.
  • Supervisory Role: 20% of the work week will assist the General Manager in supervising the Housekeeping department, overseeing activities, and ensuring that all rooms are clean and ready for occupancy.
  • Technical Support: Handle all technical issues of the property management system (PMS) with technical support, ensuring that all systems are functioning properly and efficiently.
  • Financial Management: Process direct bill account invoices, post payments on direct bill accounts, and load rates and SRPs into the PMS with assistance from the sales department.
  • Quality Control: Review night audit packs for accuracy, ensuring that all financial transactions are correct and up-to-date.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor breakfast supplies and order breakfast supplies as needed, ensuring that all guests have access to a quality breakfast experience.
  • Customer Service: Handle all credit card chargebacks, ensuring that all guests are satisfied with their stay and that any issues are resolved promptly.
  • Housekeeping Supervision: Oversee the activities and direction of the Head Housekeeper, ensuring that all rooms are clean and ready for occupancy.
  • Scheduling: Do daily housekeeping room assignments, schedule laundry attendants in accordance with staffing guidelines, and oversee the laundry department.
  • Communication: Assist the General Manager in preparing the Housekeeping schedule in accordance with staffing guidelines, ensuring that all staff members are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Interdepartmental Communication: Interact with the Maintenance department to ensure that all housekeeping work orders are completed and that all rooms are available for rent.
  • Manager's Reception: Responsible for Manager's reception twice a month, ensuring consistent Management/guest interaction and building strong relationships with guests.
  • Staffing: Recommend new front desk and housekeeping applicants to the General Manager for hiring approval, ensuring that all new staff members are qualified and capable of performing their duties.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform any and all duties not specifically outlined above that are an inherent part of the position, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
  • Corporate Requests: Perform and execute any requests made by corporate or supervisor in a cooperative and expeditious manner, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
