Job Summary

As an Operations Manager II at General Dynamics, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and supervising the day-to-day operations of one or more departments to meet production requirements in an aircraft manufacturing operation. You will ensure that all jobs are completed in a manner that satisfies FAA regulations, coordinate with engineering, finance, materials, quality, and other departments to meet schedules and budgets, and troubleshoot production process problems to minimize costs and prevent delivery delays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign production responsibilities, work plans, and schedule requirements to department leads and coordinators
  • Coordinate with engineering, finance, materials, quality, and other departments to ensure schedules and budgets are met
  • Assist in troubleshooting to solve production process problems
  • Enforce quality standards and monitor workmanship issues
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with Quality Assurance Procedures
  • Implement Lean Six Sigma initiatives and promote continuous process and performance improvement
Requirements
  • Proven leadership ability and effectiveness in an entry-level supervisory role
