Job Summary

Travis Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled Loan Processing Specialist to join our team. As a Loan Processing Specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating loan applications, ensuring compliance with credit union policies and procedures, and providing exceptional member service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate loan applications and ensure compliance with credit union policies and procedures
  • Provide exceptional member service and communicate effectively with members and internal/external business partners
  • Identify opportunities to deepen member relationships and promote credit union products and services
  • Analyze and validate supporting documentation to prevent fraud and ensure quality control
  • Interpret approvals and/or conditions and verify that all requirements have been met
  • Complete ongoing trainings and maintain up-to-date knowledge of credit union policies and procedures
  • Proactively monitor loan queues and service requests to ensure timely responsiveness
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and changes to increase productivity and member experience
  • Partner with management staff and other business units to develop new campaigns and calibrate existing efforts to support the credit union's strategic plan
Requirements
  • HS Diploma or equivalent and minimum 1 year related loan work experience or minimum of 2 years of customer service or clerical work experience
  • Strong telephone communication skills and ability to interact with diverse groups of people
  • Ability to analyze and interpret a credit report and navigate and process within multiple interdependent systems and tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and efficiently organize work priorities and accurately complete multiple tasks within strict timeframes with minimal supervision
  • Ability to provide leadership support, motivation, and professional development
  • Proficient mathematical and analytical skills to include rate, ratio, and percentage calculations
  • Effective, professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use independent judgment and discretion when reviewing appropriate exceptions to the credit union guidelines
Working Conditions

Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available and usually sedentary in nature. Requires flexibility in work schedule.

Compensation

Base salary starting range is commensurate with experience. $20.43/hour - $25.24/hour. Our compensation philosophy is based on several factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
