Your Role

We are seeking a Healthcare Project Management Consultant to serve as an Owner's Representative. In this role, you will oversee projects for owner/developers in the healthcare, science and technology, higher education, and residential sectors. The projects will vary in complexity and scale, ranging from initial planning to construction and occupancy phases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all facets of projects valued over $100M, including renovations, maintenance, and new constructions.
  • Gather project-specific site data to efficiently allocate resources.
  • Formulate strategic conceptual programs aligned with proposed schedules and budgets in collaboration with clients.
  • Assemble competitive project teams by preparing and managing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), recommending awards, and negotiating contracts as necessary.
  • Lead the project team on behalf of the client throughout the design, construction, occupancy, and closeout phases.
  • Provide daily project oversight and maintain open communication with clients and project teams, ensuring alignment with client goals and priorities.
  • Review designs for compliance with client schedules, budgets, logistics, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules and budgets throughout all project phases.
  • Administer contracts and invoices on behalf of the client.
  • Proactively identify key issues and make informed decisions regarding major project events, considering their impact on project objectives.
  • Coordinate commissioning and financial closeout efforts.
  • Foster respect and confidence within the project team.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an Owner's Representative in Project Management within the building sector.
  • Ability to interpret plans and specifications effectively.
  • Familiarity with the preconstruction/project development process and its requirements.
  • Understanding of contract negotiations and language.
  • Proficient in analyzing and managing project budgets efficiently.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and scheduling software.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Preferred experience with the Certificate of Need process in the healthcare sector.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience.
