POSITION SUMMARY
The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team Leader is responsible for overseeing a dedicated team of non-licensed personnel while delivering direct services within a behavioral health environment. This role requires the development, implementation, and coordination of therapeutic interventions in compliance with relevant legal and regulatory standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The ACT Team Leader will:
- Direct and manage treatment and rehabilitation services, ensuring a seamless discharge process.
- Implement and monitor services within a designated treatment program, maintaining professional standards and adherence to legal requirements.
- Design and lead specialized programs aimed at engaging individuals with serious mental health challenges.
- Ensure that the program focuses on goal-oriented case management, symptom management, and coordination of essential services.
- Supervise both professional and non-professional staff, establishing performance standards and conducting evaluations.
- Develop and oversee targeted treatment interventions for specific populations, providing crisis support as needed.
- Act as a liaison with federal, state, and local organizations, fostering collaboration and communication regarding program initiatives.
- Utilize the agency's electronic medical record system for documentation and collaborative reporting.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and attend various meetings related to program operations.
- Maintain an on-call schedule to address consumer needs and fulfill ACT program requirements.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Other responsibilities may include:
- Conducting daily staff meetings to discuss client progress.
- Creating weekly schedules for case managers and assigning client visits.
- Providing clinical support to team members and assisting with fidelity reports.
- Ensuring timely documentation of client interactions.
QUALIFICATIONS
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A Master's degree in a relevant field such as sociology, psychology, or counseling.
- A minimum of two years of experience in providing services to individuals with psychiatric conditions.
- At least one year of supervisory experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and behavioral management strategies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
