We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Explosive Safety Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of our explosives safety program.

As a Senior Explosive Safety Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for Federal and State Regulatory Agencies. You will be responsible for ensuring that our company is in compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines. Your expertise in explosives handling, storage, transportation, disposal, and treatment will be invaluable in this role.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also be responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with regulatory agency personnel and internal customers. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment will be essential in this role.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the explosives safety program
* Ensure compliance with Federal and State Regulatory Agencies

* Provide technical expertise in explosives handling, storage, transportation, disposal, and treatment
* Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
* Conduct audits and provide recommendations for improvement
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination

**Requirements:**

* 5-7+ years' experience in explosives compliance
* Advanced understanding of and experience with explosives and energetic materials EH&S, licensing, and compliance
* Experience with developing SOPs, conducting audits, and advising on best practices related to logistics, compliance, and safe handling of explosives
* Professional integrity, confidentiality, and sense of responsibility and accountability
* Highly organized and efficient worker; skilled at multi-tasking
* Effective communication skills - verbal and written; attentive listener
* Willing to take initiative and work independently
* Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers, visitors, vendors, and other employees
* Ability to clear eligibility on Axis pre-employment requirements
* Receipt of proof of eligibility to work in the United States, as required by law
* Ability to travel up to 25% to various operations locations
