Field Service Engineer - Probes Team
Job Overview
Bruker, a global leader in analytical instrumentation, is seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join our Probes Team. This role is essential in supporting our innovative magnetic resonance technology solutions, aimed at enhancing quality of life through advanced research and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of repaired and returned equipment.
- Analyze samples, interpret results, and document findings accurately.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on used systems.
- Provide expert technical assistance for the installation, servicing, and repair of probes and related equipment.
- Collaborate closely with the Service and Support Center, Regional Service Management, and Applications Specialists.
- Install new or modified systems at client locations, ensuring they meet all operational specifications.
- Educate and train customers on the basic operation of the equipment.
- Facilitate customer acceptance of installations and repairs through sign-off processes.
- Re-qualify instruments post-service by running complex compounds for verification.
- Act as a vital communication link between customers and the company to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Perform additional duties as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with NMR equipment.
- Proficient in sample analysis and reading Spectra reports.
- Strong technical acumen in analytical instrumentation.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with scientists holding advanced degrees.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and troubleshoot issues at the component level.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written, with strong communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities with a capacity to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Capability to meet training requirements and participate in ongoing technical training programs.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and tools as needed.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status is necessary.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
