Key Responsibilities:

Inspire Home Loans is seeking a qualified Temporary Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting Team. The Staff Accountant will play a vital role in assisting the accounting team with various professional-level accounting tasks, including comprehensive bank and general ledger reconciliations. This role ensures compliance with GAAP and internal policies and procedures.

Your Main Duties Will Include:
  • Processing daily funding requests for the following business day
  • Handling same-day funding requests
  • Updating and importing federal reference numbers into the system
  • Maintaining daily funding sheets to track warehouse haircut usage
  • Managing unfund and return wire transactions
  • Processing GNMA Custodian account shortage and overage wires
  • Identifying funding discrepancies and collaborating with Closers for reconciliation
  • Handling all funding adjustment wires
  • Preparing and processing daily Warehouse and Revenue entries
  • Executing daily and monthly wire transfers for all Trust accounts
  • Conducting eRAMP registrations for loans funded the previous day
  • Updating the system with MERS registrations completed via eRAMP
  • Running and archiving bank statements and warehouse reports
  • Preparing month-end entries and accruals
  • Conducting general ledger reconciliations for the Funding Clearing account
  • Providing support and assistance with projects as required
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong Excel skills
  • Familiarity with Loan Vision software is advantageous
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across all employee levels
  • Demonstrated initiative and proactive approach
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Experience in a fast-paced, month-end driven environment
Educational Background:
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven accounting experience
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles
  • Experience in the mortgage or financial services sector is a plus
Compensation: Inspire Home Loans aims to offer the selected candidate an hourly rate in the range of $35/hour.
