Join the DuPage County Health Department as a Crisis Services Counselor and make a difference in the lives of others. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate professional to work in our Crisis Services - Crisis Follow Up program.

About the Role:

This full-time position works Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. As a Crisis Services Counselor, you will provide outpatient psychotherapy and counseling to individuals following an episode in a crisis point of care. You will manage a client caseload and maintain regular contact with clients, supporting their needs while working to support transition to ongoing care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide evidence-based practices to support clients in crisis
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide crisis interventions as needed
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, or related field
  • 2 years of experience working with the chronically mentally ill population
  • LPC or LSW licensure required
