AdventHealth is enhancing healthcare services in southern Hillsborough County with the establishment of a new hospital, aimed at providing advanced medical care and innovative technology.

Role Responsibilities:

The Certified Respiratory Therapist will oversee and deliver respiratory care services tailored to specific age groups. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing care plans, implementing treatments, and evaluating outcomes. Compliance with all relevant regulations and standards is essential, along with a commitment to exceptional customer service and respectful interactions.

Key Contributions:

· Conduct thorough assessments and make informed decisions based on patient evaluations. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to establish patient goals and care plans. Analyze diagnostic data, including lab results and monitoring information, and communicate effectively with team members.

· Complete all required training and certifications, demonstrating proficiency in essential procedures and protocols.

· Adhere to safety regulations and hospital policies, ensuring accurate documentation and billing for services rendered.

· Respond promptly to emergency situations, providing critical care and support as needed.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:

· Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care Program.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

· Additional certifications such as RRT, CPFT, RPFT, ACCS, NPS, or SDS are advantageous.

Licensure and Certification Requirements:

· Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.

· BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

· ACLS and PALS certifications required within specified timeframes.
