Community Focus: AdventHealth Riverview

· AdventHealth is enhancing our medical capabilities and innovative services in southern Hillsborough County through the establishment of a new hospital.

· The upcoming AdventHealth Riverview facility will feature 82 beds at launch, with plans for future expansion.

· This significant investment in Riverview includes a modern Medical Office Building, providing community members with easy access to specialized care.

· The new hospital will offer a comprehensive range of healthcare services, including emergency, cardiovascular, digestive, urology, orthopedic, and women's health.

Key Responsibilities:

The Certified Respiratory Therapist will oversee and deliver respiratory clinical care tailored to specific age groups. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment and care to meet patient needs. Compliance with AdventHealth's Corporate Compliance Plan and adherence to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations is essential. The role requires active participation in exceptional customer service and maintaining respectful relationships.

Essential Contributions:

· Conduct assessments and make informed decisions based on patient evaluations. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to set patient goals and develop care plans. Analyze diagnostic data, including lab results and monitoring data, and communicate effectively with the team.

· Complete departmental orientation and required certifications, ensuring proficiency in all relevant procedures.

· Uphold safety standards and document procedures accurately to meet quality expectations.

· Respond promptly to emergencies, providing CPR and airway management as needed. Assist with various respiratory procedures and maintain competency in critical interventions.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

· Graduate of an accredited 2-year Respiratory Care Program.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree preferred.

· Additional certifications such as RRT, CPFT, RPFT, ACCS, NPS, or SDS are advantageous.

Licensure and Certification:

· Current state license (CRT) is required upon hire.

· American Heart Association BLS certification or RQI is required upon hire, with quarterly renewals.

· ACLS and PALS certifications are required within specified timeframes after hire.

· NRP and STABLE Education certifications are also required within designated periods.
