AdventHealth is enhancing our healthcare services and innovative technologies in southern Hillsborough County through the establishment of a new hospital.

This facility will feature 82 beds at launch, with plans for future expansion.

The project also includes a substantial Medical Office Building, ensuring community members have convenient access to specialized care.

AdventHealth Riverview will provide a comprehensive array of healthcare services, including emergency care, cardiovascular services, digestive health, urology, orthopedics, and women’s health.

Your Role:

The Certified Respiratory Care Specialist is tasked with overseeing and delivering respiratory clinical care tailored to specific age groups. Responsibilities encompass assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment and care to meet patient needs effectively. Compliance with all relevant regulations and standards is mandatory, and exceptional customer service is a key component of this role.

Your Contributions:

- Conduct thorough assessments and make informed decisions based on patient evaluations.

- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to set patient goals and develop care plans.

- Analyze diagnostic data, including lab results and monitoring information.

- Maintain effective communication with the healthcare team.

- Complete required training and certifications as per departmental standards.

- Uphold safety protocols and ensure accurate documentation of procedures.

- Respond promptly to emergencies, providing necessary interventions as per established guidelines.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:

- Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care Program.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree.

- Relevant certifications such as RRT, CPFT, RPFT, ACCS, NPS, SDS.

Licensure and Certification Requirements:

- Valid state license (CRT) upon hire.

- Current BLS certification or RQI upon hire, with quarterly renewals.

- ACLS certification or RQI required within two weeks of hire, with quarterly renewals.

- PALS certification or RQI within 90 days of hire, with quarterly renewals.

- NRP certification within 90 days of hire.

- STABLE Education within six months of hire.
