Job Summary:

The Specialist-Child Life position at Baptist Memorial Health Care is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the Child Life program. This program aims to provide emotional and educational support to hospitalized children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and plan the activities of the Child Life program.
  • Develop and manage the budget for the program.
  • Manage the quality improvement processes for the program.
  • Promote the Child Life Program by establishing a philosophy for the service.
  • Prepare and execute individual plans of care for pediatric patients.
  • Integrate child life principles into the daily practices of healthcare providers caring for children.
  • Complete assigned goals.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in child development, child life, psychology, or a related field.
  • Completion of a Child Life Specialist Internship.
