Your Role and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of facility conditions, performing detailed inspections of both the interior and exterior of structures.
  • Accurately document findings using photographs, sketches, and notes, ensuring all data is systematically recorded. Utilize digital devices equipped with cameras to capture images of mechanical and electrical systems encountered during evaluations.
  • Analyze architectural and engineering plans to gain insights into building layouts and systems, identifying potential concerns.
  • Assist in the preparation of initial reports based on assessment outcomes, highlighting necessary repairs, maintenance, or enhancements.
  • Employ foundational knowledge of building systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Structural) to evaluate their condition and performance.
  • Engage in fieldwork that may involve climbing, entering confined spaces, and working under various weather conditions, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Occasionally liaise with clients to clarify project requirements or provide preliminary insights on assessments.
  • Commit to ongoing learning regarding emerging building technologies and assessment techniques, participating in training sessions to enhance expertise.
  • Support senior assessors in managing project timelines, ensuring assessments are completed efficiently.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with Building Systems, including Architectural, Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, capable of adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Analytical skills with the capacity to interpret data effectively.
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.
    • Background in Construction Management, Facilities Management, or Building Science.
