Role Overview: Facilities Maintenance Technician

Embark on your journey in maintenance and engineering with JLL.

The Facilities Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the operation, inspection, and upkeep of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within designated facilities. This position operates under supervision, emphasizing safety in all tasks. As an entry-level role, it offers a pathway for advancement within the engineering domain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the engineering team in the upkeep and repair of building systems and equipment.
  • Engage in general maintenance tasks, including carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and painting.
  • Complete work orders using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and maintain accurate service records.
  • Ensure tools, parts, equipment, and supplies are kept in clean and safe conditions.
  • Collaborate closely with Operating Engineers, Chief Engineers, and other team members.
  • Participate in ongoing training programs focused on technical skills, safety, and operational processes.
  • Provide support during on-call or emergency situations as needed.
  • Undertake additional projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfort with using ladders up to 30 feet high.
  • Capability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and/or drive.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
