Advanced Analytics Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Principal Data Science Engineer to join our team in Tysons Corner, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in AI/ML and advanced analytics and will be passionate about developing and applying data science techniques to solve complex customer problems.

- Work with data and subject matter experts and customer teams to gather and analyze data
- Train, validate and deploy machine learning pipelines
- Test, troubleshoot, and enhance customer software applications with and on behalf of customers
- Identify application performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance or higher is required; U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Over 3 years of experience solving complex problems using data science methods, including applied machine learning (regression, classification, supervised, and unsupervised learning) and time-series data analysis.
- Proficient in scalable machine learning (e.g., MapReduce, streaming) and software development with Python and JavaScript.
- Skilled in data cleansing, normalization, and version control using Git or similar tools.
