Position Summary
The Plant Maintenance Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the facility by managing the loading and unloading of materials, as well as maintaining cleanliness throughout the premises. The starting compensation for this position is $18.90 per hour, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid sick leave, vacation time, and holidays. Additional benefits include a 401k plan with matching contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, company-paid life insurance, flexible spending accounts, and uniforms provided by the company.
Key Responsibilities
This job description does not limit management's ability to assign or reassign tasks and responsibilities as needed.
- Utilizes high-pressure washing equipment to clean the parking lot, machinery, and surrounding areas, including any spilled materials.
- Responsible for painting and cleaning machinery and building fixtures as required.
- Employs standard hand tools (such as hammers, screwdrivers, and wrenches) and power tools (including drills, impact drivers, and saws).
- Operates company vehicles safely within the facility and surrounding property.
- Ensures a consistent flow of raw materials from trailers to the dock in a safe and efficient manner.
- Monitors and reports on the condition of raw material loads and the interior of trucks.
- Performs various general labor tasks, including janitorial duties and vehicle cleaning.
- Prioritizes safety in accordance with all company safety protocols and regulations.
- Completes any other assigned duties as necessary.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural settings is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Willingness to work nights and/or weekends as required.
- A CDL "B" license with a tanker endorsement is advantageous.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
- Frequently must push, pull, move, or lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
Work Environment
Job functions will be performed in a facility that may require tolerance for high heat and/or cold temperatures.
