POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the guidance of the Director of Operations, the Claims Operations Supervisor will manage the operational workflows within the Claims Division at Barasch & McGarry. This role involves leading a team of Claims Administrators and Team Leaders, exercising independent judgment to identify challenges, propose solutions, and develop and implement new protocols for the efficient processing of VCF Claims. Close collaboration with the Assistant Director of Operations is essential to establish and uphold effective internal processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operational Oversight: Ensure the efficiency and thoroughness of the Claims Division by working closely with Team Leaders and their respective teams.
  • Claims Management: Supervise the Claims Division to guarantee successful full-cycle claim submissions for VCF Clients.
  • Process Improvement: Design and execute necessary process enhancements within the Claims Division.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the Director of Operations and Assistant Director of Operations on assigned special projects.
  • Reporting: Review and generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on team performance to assess effectiveness and productivity.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT:

  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to facilitate staff growth and development while evaluating performance.
  • Directly manage Team Leaders, holding bi-weekly to monthly meetings with all direct reports.
  • Formulate strategies, enhance performance, and organize daily operations for all direct reports.
  • Provide mediation and conflict-resolution support, administering appropriate disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Identify professional development needs for individuals and groups.

STAFF DEVELOPMENT & ADMINISTRATION:

  • Participate in the recruitment process by interviewing and recommending candidates in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Operations.
  • Work with department leaders to create training programs tailored for the Claims Division.
  • Ensure effective communication of updated policies to all relevant parties in conjunction with the Director of Operations and Assistant Director of Operations.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

  • Maintain and update Salesforce, electronic files, and other database resources.
  • Manage correspondences related to the Claims Submission Process.
  • Assist Team Leaders and Attorneys with various tasks as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying policies and procedures clearly to staff.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of legal regulations and guidelines pertaining to the VCF and WTCHP.
  • In-depth understanding of diverse business functions related to claims processing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with staff.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and utilize effective problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Salesforce, and various business software.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Adept at objectively evaluating employee performance and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Availability to work in the office or remotely daily to ensure team objectives are met.

COMPENSATION:

$95,000 with flexibility based on experience.
