The YMCA of the Triangle Area is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Coordinator to oversee the Before School Programs at multiple sites. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and leading after-school programming while supervising program staff.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and plan after-school programming, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children.
- Supervise program staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations to enhance program offerings.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers through regular updates and newsletters.
- Assist in the management of program facilities, equipment, and staff.
- Ensure compliance with YMCA policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 2 years of experience working with youth preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people.
- Previous experience in program development, supervision, and staff management.
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
