Role Objective:


The Food Service Associate is tasked with the preparation, arrangement, and serving of food items, as well as the upkeep and sanitation of all areas and equipment associated with the cafeteria.

This role also involves assisting with the setup, service, and cleanup of special events as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute meal service tasks in accordance with established protocols, ensuring prompt and courteous service to customers.
  • Effectively communicate (both written and verbal) with team members, patients, and their families.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining assigned workspaces in a clean, organized, and sanitary condition.
  • Undertake additional special tasks as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions, brief correspondence, and memos.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced customer service environment.
  • Previous experience in a cafeteria-style food service setting is preferred.
  • Must be able to pass drug screenings and background checks.
