Job Summary

Williamson Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to provide clinical nursing support to our medical group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Accurately record patient medical history and vital signs.
  2. Administer immunizations and injections as necessary.
  3. Counsel patients on health-related issues.
  4. Order and maintain clinical supplies and pharmaceuticals.
  5. Coordinate referrals to other medical services.
  6. Secure consultations and specialists.
  7. Triage phone calls and address patient portal messages.
  8. Obtain prior authorization for medications and diagnostic testing.
  9. Assist physicians with medical procedures.
  10. Maintain quality assurance for office lab.
  11. Observe universal precautions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Medical Assistant certificate and/or higher degree.
  • At least one year of experience in a medical office environment.
  • Competency in the use of medical equipment, including glucometers, BP cuffs, thermometers, and stethoscopes.
