Job Summary

The Certified Surgical Technologist is a vital member of the surgical team at Williamson Health, responsible for delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile field, adhering to aseptic principles
  • Anticipate and provide equipment and supplies in a timely and organized manner
  • Assist with medication handling, transportation, and preparation
  • Contribute to a safe and efficient OR Suite environment
  • Participate in staff development and educational programs
  • Communicate effectively with the surgical team and other stakeholders

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Previous scrub tech experience or completion of a scrub tech program
  • Earned a Surgical Technology diploma or degree, or 18 months of experience prior to July 1, 2006
  • Current certification through NBSTSA or equivalent, within 6 months of employment

Work Environment

Our surgical unit is a dynamic and diverse environment, with a patient population of varying ages and needs.

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged standing and working for up to twelve hours a day
  • Constantly required to push/pull objects up to 175 lbs
  • Requires the ability to lift and turn patients with assistance up to 250 lbs
