Job Summary:

As a Call Center Representative at The Community Blood Center, you will play a vital role in scheduling lifesaving blood donation appointments. This is a part-time position, 16 hours/week, with shifts ranging between Monday - Friday, 3pm - 8pm; Saturday, 8am - 1pm. You will be responsible for placing outbound calls for scheduling donation appointments, directing incoming calls, and providing information on The Community Blood Center's programs, services, and special blood needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Utilize CRM System to contact existing donors and schedule them in the most convenient locations.
  2. Achieve individual performance expectations for appointments scheduled, show rate, and customer service. Assist in achieving company goals for the fixed sites and mobiles.
  3. Use critical thinking to determine the appropriate outcome of calls.
  4. Provide information as requested; transfer calls to the appropriate CBC personnel and maintain high-quality customer service.
  5. Follow phone scripts as directed and incorporate all the key talking points used for call evaluations during conversations with donors.
  6. Conduct special donor recruitment projects at various locations and distribute CBC information and other related duties as requested.
  7. Comply with all policies and procedures as outlined in the CBC Employee Handbook, CBC SOPs, or directives upon assignment. Maintain job-related skills by attending team meetings and training sessions and reading publications.
  8. Perform other duties as directed.
Job Qualification Requirements:
  • Professional, polite, and confident manner while making multiple phone calls per hour.
  • Previous call center or appointment setting experience is a plus.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality of CBC and CBC donor information.
  • Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication.
  • Strong, flexible interpersonal skills and data entry/computer skills.
  • Employees may occasionally be required to lift objects or materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
