Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Operations Leader is a pivotal management role responsible for overseeing the manufacturing and maintenance sectors within a lean manufacturing framework. This position encompasses production operations and maintenance support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and direct manufacturing and maintenance activities to achieve established plant objectives.
- Provide leadership for plant operations, maintenance, and manufacturing staff, ensuring effective management of direct reports.
- Promote a positive safety culture and ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
- Support approximately 50 manufacturing employees and 14 maintenance personnel, offering guidance and expertise in specific areas.
- Focus on achieving targets in safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost.
- Implement preventive maintenance procedures to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Manage departmental budgets and facilitate employee engagement initiatives.
- Encourage continuous improvement through employee suggestions and recommendations.
- Review and enhance processes within assigned manufacturing areas to ensure ongoing improvement activities.
- Lead teams in applying lean principles and utilizing tools such as Kaizen events and audit programs.
- Coordinate training and development programs to enhance operator effectiveness and flexibility.
- Participate in supplier interactions, including quality and delivery issues.
- Assist in the hiring process and develop new supervisors and leaders.
- Utilize lean and six sigma methodologies to meet production targets and improve product quality.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field; a Master's Degree is a plus.
- 5-10 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making skills.
- In-depth knowledge of liquid filling, labeling, and packaging processes.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, including Six Sigma and 5S.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and SAP; knowledge of SAP Maintenance Module is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift/carry weights of 10-50 lbs frequently and perform various physical tasks.
