Job Description

**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our team at Church & Dwight Co., Inc. in Victorville, CA. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing and maintenance departments in a lean manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management: Provide leadership and direction to manufacturing and maintenance staff, including production operations and maintenance support.
  • Production Planning and Control: Plan, organize, and direct manufacturing and maintenance activities to meet established plant objectives.
  • Safety and Quality: Promote a positive safety culture and awareness within the area of responsibility, and enforce all plant safety policies and procedures.
  • Process Improvement: Implement and maintain lean principles, including Six Sigma, 5S, TPS, and other process improvement initiatives.
  • Training and Development: Coordinate and monitor training and development programs to ensure operator effectiveness, skill enhancement, and flexibility within the work group and the plant.
  • Administrative Responsibilities: Assume responsibility for all administrative facets of the area assigned, including personnel and operations reporting.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field. Master's Degree a plus.
  • Experience: 5-10 years previous experience in leading activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Skills and Competencies: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to maintain high level of confidentiality, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work for long periods of time under pressure.
