We are in search of a seasoned Lead Solutions Architect to spearhead our technological projects and promote architectural excellence throughout our organization. The perfect candidate will have extensive technical knowledge, a strategic outlook, and practical experience in developing highly scalable and efficient systems.

The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking technologist with a solid history of designing and executing large-scale, high-performance systems. They should exhibit exceptional communication abilities, the capacity to lead and influence cross-functional teams, and a passion for addressing intricate technical challenges. The Lead Solutions Architect will be instrumental in defining the company's technological trajectory and fostering innovation across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

On a typical day, you can expect to:
  • Oversee the architectural design and execution of highly scalable, resilient, and efficient backend systems and microservices.
  • Promote the adoption of best practices in software architecture, design patterns, and coding standards throughout the organization.
  • Engage in advanced troubleshooting and debugging of complex, distributed systems.
  • Design and enhance database schemas, queries, and data access patterns for optimal efficiency and scalability.
  • Architect comprehensive monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to ensure system reliability and performance at scale.
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor team members, and cultivate a culture of technical excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technological solutions with business goals.
  • Assess and recommend new technologies and frameworks to enhance system performance, scalability, and developer productivity.
  • Design and implement robust security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and architectural trends, continuously refining the team's technical roadmap.
  • Provide technical leadership in critical projects and initiatives, offering hands-on coding and problem-solving when necessary.
  • Develop and maintain architectural documentation, including system diagrams, data flow models, and technical specifications.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Expert-level proficiency in C# and the .NET framework, with a strong grasp of its internals and performance optimization techniques.
  • Mastery of ASP.NET Core for designing and implementing large-scale, distributed APIs and web services.
  • Advanced knowledge of database technologies, including PostgreSQL/MSSQL and NoSQL.
  • Extensive experience with event-driven architectures and microservices design patterns.
  • Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures and proficiency with cloud services.
  • Expert-level knowledge of application performance monitoring and optimization.
  • Advanced proficiency in log management and analysis.
  • Mastery of OOP principles, design patterns, and API design best practices.
  • Expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies.
  • Strong background in Agile methodologies and experience leading Agile teams.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and their integration into the development workflow.
  • Extensive experience architecting and developing complex distributed systems.

  • Knowledge of EDI standards and processes.
  • Experience with enrollment systems and benefits administration workflows.
  • Familiarity with retirement plans and wealth management concepts.
  • Experience working with large datasets typical in health and benefits industries.
  • Knowledge of plan administration processes and systems.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific protocols.
  • Awareness of regulatory compliance requirements in the health and benefits sector.
  • Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
  • Familiarity with insurance industry terminology and concepts.
  • Familiarity with retirement benefits.
