We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team at Maui Medical Group. As a Medical Records Clerk, you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and confidentiality of patient medical records.
Key Responsibilities- Scans and digitizes patient information and documents into our electronic medical records system.
- Processes requests for medical records from other facilities, physicians, attorneys, and insurance companies.
- Sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring timely delivery of patient records.
- Transports paper charts from offices and offsite storage facilities as needed.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient and company information, adhering to MMG and HIPAA guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel to offsite storage facilities for records retrieval and return.
This role requires prolonged sitting, standing, and manual dexterity to operate office equipment. Vision and hearing must be correctable to 20/20 and normal range for telephone contacts, respectively.
