Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, responding to inquiries and resolving billing issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Work closely with patients, providers, and external departments to ensure accurate and timely billing and payment processing.
- Record and maintain transactions, ensuring account balances and discrepancies are resolved within the prescribed period.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize work to effectively manage a high-volume workload and meet productivity standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless billing and payment processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1 year of customer service, healthcare, or office experience required; previous call center experience preferred.
- Experience with medical terminology in a medical billing environment.
- Strong computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals.
This is a sedentary role that involves sitting most of the time, with occasional walking or standing. The incumbent will work in a healthcare setting and may be exposed to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment.
