Job Title: Receptionist - South Bay BMW

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Receptionist to join our team at South Bay BMW in Torrance. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for customers, vendors, and job applicants, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Professionally administer all incoming calls and ensure phone calls are redirected accordingly
  • Greet and direct guests in a professional, friendly, and hospitable manner
  • Open and close customer area, including unlocking/locking doors, opening/closing blinds, and turning on/off lights
  • Type memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents
  • Perform a variety of clerical duties and other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer-service driven
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and punctuality
  • Able to work with minimum supervision and knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
  • Able to multi-task and maintain a professional appearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of receptionist, customer service, or similar experience
Physical Demands:

The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the dealership and the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a telephone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. The person in this position frequently communicates with customers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Occasionally ascends/descends stairs to activate the lights and ceiling fans. Must be able to detect employees, customers, vendors, job applicants, and other visitors. Occasionally moves equipment weighing up to 25 pounds across locations for various showroom needs. Constantly works in showroom and office environment.
