Job Summary

Cogir of South Bay is seeking a compassionate and energetic Resident Lifestyle Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our community, you will be responsible for designing, creating, and facilitating a wide range of life-enrichment activities for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage residents in one-on-one and group settings, promoting socialization and community building.
  • Lead or assist with group activities, including social, educational, and recreational events.
  • Facilitate games, conversations, exercise classes, art and music programs, and special events.
  • Support the coordination of the monthly newsletter and other community publications.
  • Lead assigned activities and ensure their success.
  • Encourage resident participation and document outcomes when required.
  • Review goals and progress notes, and assist the Resident Lifestyle Director as needed.
Requirements
  • Positive team player attitude and love working with people.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, patience, and compassion for our residents.
  • A minimum of 6-12 months of relevant experience, working with seniors and leading life-enrichment activities, is preferred.
  • Experience with memory care is a plus.
  • Able to work independently and follow scheduled plans.
  • Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations and treat residents with respect and dignity.
  • Previous experience working in Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL), Memory Care (MC), or Senior Living experience is a plus.
  • A valid state driver's license.
