Cogir of South Bay is seeking a compassionate and energetic Resident Lifestyle Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our community, you will be responsible for designing, creating, and facilitating a wide range of life-enrichment activities for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Engage residents in one-on-one and group settings, promoting socialization and community building.
- Lead or assist with group activities, including social, educational, and recreational events.
- Facilitate games, conversations, exercise classes, art and music programs, and special events.
- Support the coordination of the monthly newsletter and other community publications.
- Lead assigned activities and ensure their success.
- Encourage resident participation and document outcomes when required.
- Review goals and progress notes, and assist the Resident Lifestyle Director as needed.
- Positive team player attitude and love working with people.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, patience, and compassion for our residents.
- A minimum of 6-12 months of relevant experience, working with seniors and leading life-enrichment activities, is preferred.
- Experience with memory care is a plus.
- Able to work independently and follow scheduled plans.
- Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations and treat residents with respect and dignity.
- Previous experience working in Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL), Memory Care (MC), or Senior Living experience is a plus.
- A valid state driver's license.
