Position Overview:

The successful candidate will engage with high school students, providing them with essential information and guidance regarding our programs.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement college readiness workshops and summer initiatives.
2. Conduct outreach to public and private educational institutions to recruit participants.
3. Facilitate communication with prospective students and their families regarding program details.
4. Oversee program orientation and manage student registration processes.
5. Assist in maintaining and updating the program's online presence.
6. Collect and manage data related to program participation and outcomes.
7. Contribute to the evaluation of program effectiveness.
8. Participate in staff meetings and professional development as required.

Work Schedule:
This position requires an average commitment of 20 hours per week, with occasional evenings and weekends during peak periods.

Qualifications:
Education:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required. This position is exclusively available to graduate students enrolled at the University of Maryland.

Experience:
Experience working with high school students from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds is essential.

Skills and Competencies:
Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for this role.

The position involves sedentary work, with some repetitive motions and the ability to lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Close visual acuity is required for tasks such as data analysis and extensive reading.
