About the Role

This position will be responsible for developing and refining robotics software, particularly perception technologies, with a primary focus on utilizing Lidar. The main responsibilities of the position include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and refine algorithms for Lidar-based perception to detect objects and ensure precise positioning in a dynamic environment.
  • Develop advanced algorithms for path planning, mapping, and navigation using C/C++ programming language with real-time processing and performance optimization.
  • Conduct testing and validation of perception algorithms in simulated and real-world environments.
  • Analyze data to identify and rectify any discrepancies or inaccuracies.
Requirements
  • Experience with Lidar technology and its application in robotic perception and localization.
  • Strong background in algorithm development, particularly in object detection, object tracking, SLAM, Kalman-filter, odometry, or related areas.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ or Python.
  • Deep understanding of robotics software frameworks, especially ROS for developing and testing robotic applications.
  • Practical experience in developing algorithms for robotics applications, including but not limited to object detection, tracking, path planning, mapping, localization, and navigation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's or higher degree in Engineering, including but not limited to Computer Science, Robotics, or related field.
  • Preferred experience with object detection, graph SLAM, LIO-SAM, GTSAM, Move_base, AprilTag, and ROS.
  • Preferred experience with various sensor technologies, such as LIDAR, IMU, and cameras.
