We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Homologation Engineer to join our team at Re:Car dba SLATE. As a key member of our Safety and Compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring our electric vehicles meet the necessary regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interact with EPA, CARB, and independent testing organizations to obtain environmental certifications.
  • Guide engineers in designing vehicles to comply with regulations.
  • Develop and document design requirements to ensure vehicle compliance.
  • Communicate plans to management and identify potential roadblocks.
  • Collaborate with engineering personnel to ensure vehicle designs consider relevant regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in Vehicle Emissions, Safety, and Compliance.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to lead teams and meetings through technical tradeoffs.
  • Knowledge of EPA and CARB testing procedures and application to EV.
