About the Role

The School of the Earth, Ocean and Environment at the University of South Carolina is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Professional Track Faculty Member and Director of the Masters of Earth and Environmental Resources Management (MEERM) professional master's degree program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of the MEERM program, with a focus on building a leading professional master's degree in environmental management.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain internship and cooperative opportunities for SEOE students.
  • Lead marketing and recruitment efforts for the MEERM program.
  • Develop and teach courses in the candidate's area of expertise across the SEOE's curriculum.
  • Oversee the MEERM program's internship course.

Requirements

  • PhD in a social science or natural science related to environmental policy/management, environmental science, or sustainability.
  • Proven track record of leadership and innovation in environmental management and sustainability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
