Job Summary: Hendrick Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT of Concord is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Parts Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our parts department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of parts, and maintaining a high level of product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in selecting and purchasing parts, providing expert advice on product features and pricing.
  • Place special orders for parts, ensuring timely delivery and accurate inventory management.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals to identify part specifications and ensure accurate ordering.
  • Provide pricing and product information to customers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Dispense parts to the service department and body shop, ensuring efficient and accurate delivery.
  • Order out-of-stock parts, maintaining accurate records and meeting departmental production and profitability goals.
  • Assist in taking inventory, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Participate in required training, staying up-to-date on product knowledge and industry developments.
  • Record all hours worked accurately in the company timekeeping system.
  • Follow Safeguards rules and regulations, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License.
  • 2 years of direct customer service experience in an automotive or similar fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work Full Time, 5-days per week, business hours Monday - Saturday.
  • Prior experience using customer databases, researching and advising customers on selecting products, addressing delays, concerns, and inquiries.
  • Able to answer calls, greet customers, establish rapport, collaborate with technicians and mechanics to dispense parts and answer questions about product features, pricing, and availability.
  • Able to monitor parts stock levels, order out-of-stock auto parts, take inventory, and maintain accurate records to meet departmental production and profitability goals.
  • Able to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
  • Able to follow Safeguards rules and regulations.
