Automotive Parts Sales Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Automotive Parts Sales Specialist to join our team at Hendrick Automotive Group. As a key member of our parts department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, selling parts to customers, and supporting the service and body shop teams.
Key Responsibilities- Sell parts to customers over-the-counter and provide necessary parts to the service department and body shop.
- Place special orders for parts and assist customers in selecting and purchasing parts.
- Read appropriate manuals to ascertain type and specification of part and provide pricing and product information to customers.
- Dispense parts to the service department and body shop and order out-of-stock parts requested by customers.
- Assist in taking inventory and meet departmental production and profitability goals.
- Maintain CSI at or above dealership standards and answer telephone promptly and consistently with dealership guidelines.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area and participate in required training.
- Record all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system and follow Safeguards rules and regulations.
- Demonstrate the Company's Core Values and comply with Company policies and procedures.
- Observe all Federal, State, Local, and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Working knowledge of automotive parts.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions and communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
- Valid Driver's License.
Desired Education: GED, High School Diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree, Master Degree, Doctorate Degree.
Field of Study/Work Experience: Accounting, Automotive, Business, Human Resources, Information Technology.
Desired Work Experience: Up to 3 years, 3-5 years, 5+ years.
Education/Experience: Working knowledge of automotive parts.
Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver's License, Automobile Salesperson License.
Work EnvironmentThe position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and some holidays.
Duties are performed primarily at the parts counter and in the parts department. Work includes retrieving parts for customer purchase and moving throughout the parts, service, and body repair departments.
Employee continuously interacts with customers and parts and service department employees.
