We are in search of an operations analyst to contribute technical expertise in support of American undersea dominance. Our dedicated team of analysts and operators utilizes cutting-edge technology to tackle significant challenges that aid the US Navy's Sea Control Mission. As an Operations Research Modeler specializing in Undersea Warfare, your responsibilities will include:

  • Employing various analytical methods and tools, including modeling and simulation, to assess factors such as operational impact, potential concepts of operations (CONOPs), system performance, logistical needs, and costs through the creation of relevant metrics.
  • Engaging in question refinement, requirements development, system evaluation, mission success analysis, and documentation to assess Undersea Warfare (USW) and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) platforms and sensors.
  • Collaborating with a team to articulate your methodologies, insights, and recommendations in reports and annotated briefs for presentation to the Department of Defense.
Required Qualifications

You qualify for this position if you...

  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree with three or more years of relevant experience, including specific modeling experience with mission analysis tools such as AFSIM, Brawler, Storm, NGTS, STK, JAAM, or Suppressor.
  • Are technically inclined, possess strong curiosity and organizational skills, and demonstrate analytical thinking capabilities.
  • Exhibit initiative, motivation, adaptability, and a desire to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Are open to travel (e.g., occasional 2-3 day trips or week-long tests), are prepared to work on dynamic projects, and can prioritize multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Are eligible to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately secure a Top Secret level clearance. If selected, you will undergo a government security clearance investigation and must meet the criteria for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

  • Have a Master’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, or another relevant technical discipline.
  • Possess operational or technical experience in USW/ASW.
  • Have demonstrated experience with AFSIM.
  • Are proficient in a programming or scripting language such as MATLAB or Python.
  • Have a solid understanding of data features and patterns that reveal the characteristics and behaviors of systems or components.
  • Hold a current Top Secret security clearance.
  • Have insights into potential adversary defensive and/or offensive capabilities.
