Maintenance Superintendent Job Opportunity

Timber Products Company is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Superintendent to oversee the maintenance activities of its Particleboard mill in Medford, OR.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure minimal downtime for equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs and design new equipment to meet production needs.
  • Lead, train, and develop maintenance staff for maximum effectiveness.
  • Order parts, equipment, and tools, and contract with outside services as necessary.
  • Champion the CMMS to ensure its use across all facets of the site.
  • Assist with environmental affairs, including meeting air and water quality standards, testing, and meeting permit requirements.
  • Responsible for working with safety committees, assisting with inspections and investigations, and following up on hazard reporting.
  • Assist in maintaining quality control standards to maximize company profitability and achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Complete administrative paperwork and reporting related to production reports, scheduling, personnel actions, timekeeping, and safety.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in production management, engineering, or other technical field with a minimum of 5 years of maintenance supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge and practical experience managing industrial electrical systems preferred.
  • Ability to communicate well with all levels of personnel, management, and contractors.
  • Ability to read blueprints and design equipment.
  • Computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and the ability to learn and use company-specific software.
