About the Role

Cajun Industries is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our HR and Professional Development teams, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of various HR functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Professional Development Support
    • Submit monthly expenses for the Professional Development department.
    • Filter and manage emails related to Professional Development.
    • Organize and prepare materials and supplies for training and development courses.
    • Enter data into the training and development database/LMS.
    • Maintain and update training and development materials, equipment, and records.
    • Assist in scheduling and registration for training and development courses and conferences.
    • Assist in compiling and preparation of monthly program reports.
    • Support onboarding/orientation needs and assist with maintaining records of participation.
    • Occasionally deliver materials to offsite training locations.
  • Employee Benefits Administration
    • Manage recurring benefit-related notifications and compliance emails.
    • Coordinate with job sites for 401k and insurance-related activities.
    • Handle the continuation of benefits for terminated employees.
    • Manage the Benefits email inbox and index relevant forms.
    • Respond to basic insurance and benefits inquiries and assist in any necessary investigations and resolutions regarding employee issues with insurance utilization.
    • Verify eligibility for Short-Term Disability (STD) and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and coordinate with HR team for further action.
    • Assist in carrier audits.
    • Manage the coordination and distribution of job site compliance posters.
  • General HR Administrative Support
    • Manage the HR and Info email inboxes, including indexing separations and disciplinary forms.
    • Handle HR and Benefits calls, redirecting as necessary.
    • Receive and respond as necessary to unemployment claims and calls from the unemployment office.
    • Coordinate National Medical Support Notice orders and determine eligibility.
    • Assist in Open Enrollment, including organizing materials, managing communication, and tracking relevant documentation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in an HR-related role.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
