Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and publish the monthly nursing roster, ensuring adequate coverage across all units.
  • Address employee inquiries related to scheduling and prepare necessary written communications.
  • Collaborate with nursing department leaders to assess staffing and scheduling requirements.
  • Track daily attendance and tardiness for employee evaluations, reporting any concerns to the Director of Nursing Services.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources and the Director of Nursing Services to schedule modified duty employees in line with work restrictions and facility policies.
  • Maintain and update employee records within the nursing department, ensuring all certifications and licenses are current.
  • Respond to applicant inquiries regarding job openings and facilitate interview arrangements.
  • Work closely with Unit Managers to ensure effective orientation programs for new nursing staff, providing them with a comprehensive orientation schedule.
  • Oversee the procurement of various supplies for the facility and manage inventory levels.
  • Coordinate patient transportation services and maintain the transportation schedule accordingly.
  • Assist with the ordering and distribution of equipment for various departments, keeping accurate inventory records for the Central Supply Room.
  • Ensure sufficient inventory levels to meet the facility's needs.
  • Regularly review and replenish supplies in nursing stations.
  • Maintain organized documentation, filing, and storage of records, reports, and purchasing requisitions.
  • Manage open orders and backorders by following up with suppliers as necessary.
  • Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures, including safety regulations and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
