Job Summary

As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, and clients, ensuring timely and accurate communication of laboratory results and specimen information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to client inquiries and resolve issues related to specimen requirements, turnaround times, and specimen handling/transport guidelines.
  • Provide accurate and timely communication of laboratory results and specimen information to patients, physicians, and clients.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure efficient and accurate processing of laboratory specimens.
  • Assist with laboratory outreach activities, including initial set-up of new accounts, filling ongoing physician office lab supply requests, and responding to STAT courier client requests.
  • Produce laboratory reports using the Laboratory Information System and maintain accurate records of customer complaints and corrective actions.
  • Participate in departmental or outside continuing education to maintain professional growth and development.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of laboratory information systems.
