Key Responsibilities
As a
Hair Care Specialist, you will administer hair treatments to clients. Your specific responsibilities will encompass:

  • Assessing and consulting with clients regarding hair care prior to service.
  • Executing hair treatments including cuts, colors, blowouts, and updos.
  • Utilizing persuasive selling techniques to enhance clients' hair services.
  • Maintaining knowledge of appropriate treatment methods and the risks associated with any chemicals used.
  • Educating clients on how to achieve similar looks at home.
  • Promoting retail sales of hair products and other spa merchandise.
  • Preparing workstations for clients, adhering to all sanitation protocols.
  • Completing opening and closing tasks as per checklists.
  • Ensuring guest satisfaction through effective techniques.
  • Encouraging clients to re-book services and actively promote within the community.
  • Performing services within the scheduled time while maintaining appointment punctuality.
  • Restocking supplies and keeping the Spa Dispensary, color mixing room, and back bar organized and tidy.
  • Providing information regarding the hours and available services of the Spa and hotel.
  • Assisting in maintaining the cleanliness of the Spa and its surroundings.

Job Requirements
We are in search of a self-driven
Hair Care Specialist with a robust work ethic and a commitment to surpassing expectations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to build rapport with guests and colleagues.

Specific qualifications for this position include:

  • 3 to 6 months of relevant experience and/or training; a one-year certificate from a college or technical school; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess a valid New York State Cosmetology License.
  • Outstanding customer service abilities.
