Culinary Specialists at our facility utilize high-quality, fresh ingredients to create meals that delight our residents. You will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals and delivering exceptional service as directed by our Dining Services Director and/or Executive Chef, while adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.

Qualifications for a Culinary Specialist:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of culinary experience in a hospitality setting, such as a hotel, restaurant, or senior living community.
- Servsafe certification and/or relevant food safety certification is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and understand menus prior to food preparation.
- Prepare meals according to established menus.
- Offer alternative menu options as necessary for residents with dietary restrictions or allergies.
- Verify special diet orders to ensure compliance with resident needs.
- Complete necessary administrative tasks, including forms, prep sheets, and daily menus, and submit them to the Executive Chef/Lead Cook.
- Adhere to all dining service procedures in line with established policies.
- Maintain organized menu records as per guidelines.
- Foster positive relationships with colleagues across departments to ensure seamless food service.
- Report any hazardous conditions or equipment issues to the Executive Chef and/or Dining Services Director promptly.
- Ensure that food and supplies for upcoming meals are prepared and available.
- Assist with inventory management and storage of incoming food and supplies as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Exhibit respect and provide outstanding customer service to all individuals, including residents, coworkers, vendors, and visitors.
- Arrive on time and in proper uniform, adhering to attendance policies.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all resident and staff information.
- Possess reliable transportation.
