Position Overview: This role involves delivering fundamental risk management services through the assessment of moderate to complex risks and providing limited consultative services aimed at risk enhancement for various business lines. Depending on relevant experience, candidates may be considered for either the Risk Control Representative or Senior Risk Control Representative position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts thorough and effective risk assessments of moderate to complex nature through timely and precise site evaluations to identify and analyze loss exposures, hazards, and controls for small to medium-sized risks.
  • Offers consultative risk enhancement services through the Stewardship Program, adding value to insured clients by analyzing and evaluating existing loss control measures, preparing reports, conducting safety consultations, and developing recommendations and corrective action plans to mitigate loss potential.
  • Drafts high-quality written risk control reports to effectively communicate and document risk evaluations to internal teams. Composes professional risk control correspondence to relay evaluation activities and outcomes to external clients and agents.
  • Facilitates the promotion of Enterprise Risk Control services through professional evaluations, engaging agents during surveys, accompanying field underwriters, and participating in meetings/presentations with agents to identify potential service opportunities.
  • Ensures economical delivery of services through strategic trip planning and territory management, which includes scheduling assigned tasks and maintaining a current service territory.
  • Contributes to the overall growth initiatives of the Enterprise by identifying potential service opportunities.
Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Science, or a related field, along with two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

A professional industry designation or a commitment to pursue one (e.g., CSP, ALCM, CFPS, ARM) is preferred.

Basic understanding of industry trends, developments, current standards, and regulations is essential.

Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are necessary.

Proficiency in standard business software applications, particularly Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) is required.

A valid driver's license and willingness to travel are mandatory.

Must reside within the designated territory.
