Key Responsibilities
As the Manager of Control Systems Operations, your role will encompass the following:
- Oversee the operations of the control systems section, focusing on staff development, profitability, morale, quality assurance, and marketing initiatives.
- Serve as the lead for control systems design, ensuring project production aligns with management duties.
- Manage administrative responsibilities for section personnel and technical services, coordinating efforts with other sections.
- Participate in marketing strategies, proposal development, and client interviews.
- Ensure all tasks are systematically planned, organized, and evaluated through proactive project management.
- Implement and uphold company policies effectively.
- Recruit, train, and develop technical staff.
- Collaborate with National Directors and marketing teams on local and national initiatives.
- Guide the control systems design team through project phases, capturing additional design and integration opportunities.
- Draft and refine control systems specifications, selecting appropriate equipment and monitoring devices.
- Review electrical documentation for discrepancies across disciplines.
- Coordinate with relevant disciplines on addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders, ensuring agreed modifications are reflected in project documents.
- Provide construction contract administration as necessary.
- Undertake additional duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an A&E/Consulting Engineering environment.
- Local candidates are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Professional registration, license, or certification may be necessary based on the role.
- Strong communication and listening abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective leadership and organizational skills.
