This role encompasses various segments, including launch services, human spaceflight, autonomous systems, mission control operations, satellite networks, ground segment solutions, emergency response, IoT applications, geospatial data, imagery, broadcast communications, and numerous government initiatives.
This position presents a unique opportunity to shape a dynamic and expanding area of our business.Your key responsibilities will include:
managing the technical interactions with Aerospace and Satellite Solutions' clients and partners; aiding in the creation of technical frameworks, architectures, and quick-start templates to expedite solution development; facilitating prototype and pilot project initiatives alongside business development efforts; liaising with AWS product teams regarding new service or product feature requests; and providing technical assistance on projects led by clients and partners.
If you have extensive technical expertise in software/network engineering, systems architecture, cloud computing, or aerospace industry experience, coupled with strong customer engagement skills, we would be eager to connect with you.Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver architectural guidance and recommendations to ensure successful client and partner engagements.
- Develop innovative managed service offerings and distinctive solutions that position AWS as the preferred cloud provider.
- Support solution providers with technical strategies that enhance their offerings on the AWS platform.
- Create proof-of-concepts, execute POCs, and oversee solution development (including testing, documentation, and training).
- Draft reference architectures and configuration guides; develop training materials and courses.
- Share best practices and insights with the broader Solutions Architect community.
- Relay partner and customer feedback to internal product management and engineering teams to influence the future direction of AWS.
- Document and disseminate best practices for deploying, operating, and managing solutions on AWS within AWS communities.

AWS Aerospace & Satellite (A&S) collaborates with commercial and governmental clients to design satellites, execute space and launch operations, and innovate in space exploration.

With AWS Cloud, clients are accelerating their space missions, breaking down barriers to innovation on Earth, and inspiring future generations.Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting within applications and infrastructure.
- 2+ years of experience in specific technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in software development or internet-related industries.
- Experience in migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
- Experience with AWS technologies from a development and operations perspective.
- 5+ years of experience in Information Technology (IT).

Our compensation reflects the labor costs across various US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $204,300/year in our highest geographic market.
Compensation is determined by several factors, including market location, and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
